Community Trends Report 2013
The Community Trends report is a comprehensive collection of data from key indicators that reflect the health and well-being of the community. The Community Trends document is meant to be a broad-based document that paints a picture of the community conditions. In order to have an impact and make change we must be able to track progress toward community well-being and quality of life. These indicators have been tracked over time and measure challenges and gaps in services as well as highlighting the strengths that these communities can build on. By tracking and monitoring key social service delivery trends and issues will be highlighted and can help funders, policy makers and program planners make informed choices when addressing community needs.
The report is two pronged: A community social profile which includes a general demographic summary based on the Census data, and Factsheets that provide information reflecting trends in the social service sector and a description of local social issues. Report measures challenges, gaps, services and strengths in the community.
